As we are preparing to celebrate the biggest weekend in football, with Super Bowl LIV with the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers playing this Sunday, it's a little bittersweet because our beloved Saints aren't in the game. But just think what it would be like if your team had NEVER played in a Super Bowl? And believe it or not, there are four teams who have yet to make it all the way to a championship. Wow.

So while you're enjoying your nachos and cold beverages with friends and family this Sunday, just be glad that we actually had the opportunity to purchase National Championship merchandise for our team! The four unfortunate franchises that never have are listed below. Good luck next year, fellas.

  • Cleveland Browns. Not even close
  • Detroit Lions. They did manage to make it to one conference championship game in 1991
  • Houston Texans. They have, however, made five post season appearances, but never quite grabbed the brass ring since becoming an expansion team in 2002
  • Jacksonville Jaguars. They have actually played in three conference championship games, but lost all of them

On a cheerier note, check out the presentation of the Vince Lombardi Trophy below after our Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts 31-17. #whodat
