Driver Shot While Passing Through Apartment Complex in Lafayette

A victim is recovering after being shot in the wrist while driving through the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Louisiana Avenue.

Lafayette Police say it happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday night as the victim crossed another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Several shots were fired, causing the victim to crash into a dumpster that was in the parking lot.

The suspect was able to get away as the investigation continues.
