COW ISLAND, La. (KMDL-FM) - The latest season of the hit singing competition The Voice premiered back on Monday, September 22nd with two episodes each week (Mondays & Tuesdays).

How Dustin Dale Gaspard’s Audition Went Down

And since that first show, Cow Island native Dustin Dale Gaspard, along with his fans, friends, and family, have been anxiously awaiting to see when his episode would air. Well, it happened last night on this season's fifth episode.

Of course, contestants aren't allowed to indulge how they did on previously taped episodes of the show, so all we knew is that Dustin was going to be on the show.

Fans of Dustin knew he had a good shot at shining and that he did. He performed a cover of the 1962 Sam Cooke classic "Bring It on Home to Me," and he knocked it out of the park.

Here's how that audition went.

How good was that? And to get out four judges to turn their chairs, that was pretty sweet.

What the Judges Said About His Performance

Here's a synopsis on what each of the judges had to say about Dustin's performance as they were trying to convince him to join their respective team:

Niall Horan's comments: "There's nothin' better than hearin' proper, unique, full of character voice when you're facing away...that was absolutely incredible with a bit of French...I feel like we have a similar music taste."

Reba McEntire's comments: "You're different. You're unusual. You're refreshing and you can sing and play."

Michael Bublé's comments: "You're kinda what the people are asking for — they want authenticity...I don't think you can make a bad decision."

Snoop Dogg's comments: "The music that you're making it touched my heart because I got uncles that chase alligators, wrestle with snakes, do all the things that you do." [sings the song back to him]

In the end, Dustin went with Niall and decided to join his team.

What’s Next on The Voice Season 28

Famous Singers from The Voice, Then + Now

Ten years (and counting) made a huge difference for many of the most popular singers and stars of The VoiceBlake Shelton looks noticeably different, but so do some of country music's most memorable performers.

Winners like Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery wore baby faces when they auditioned during their respective seasons. The same can be said for Morgan Wallen, a forgotten castmember from the show who's transformed more than anyone else on this list of The Voice stars then and now.
