East Baton Rouge Parish Mandates ‘No Mask, No Service’ Policy
Beginning at noon today (07/03/20) East Baton Rouge Parish is mandating a "No mask, no service" policy at all area businesses.
East Baton Rouge Mayor President Sharon Weston Broome tells brproud.com she made the decision for this mandate due to the Parish's recent surge in COVID-19 cases.
Mayor President Broome says that over the past 12 days, 1,313 new COVID-19 cases have been reported. Because of this surge, the "No mask, no service" mandate is being put into effect.
With this being a holiday weekend the hope is that this mandate will help to stop any larger surge in cases.
