Easton Corbin, ‘Baby Be My Love Song’ [Listen]
After two spicy singles, Easton Corbin returns to a straight-forward love song for his next radio release. ‘Baby Be My Love Song’ is the sort of timeless tune Corbin began his career with.
The Jim Collins and Brett James-penned lover finds Corbin turning on the charm after the party stops. The production of the Florida-born singer’s most recent cuts isn’t as traditional as ‘A Little More Country Than That,’ but he’ll still draw more comparisons to men like George Strait than he will modern Romeos like Luke Bryan, even if he does drop a Dixie cup reference.
“Baby, be my love song / Baby, be my all night long / Be the buzz in my Dixie cup / My steady rockin' 'til the sun comes up,” he sings during the chorus. “You know I really love to watch you dance / Baby, be my, ‘Oh hell yeah’ / I feel a little singalong, singalong comin' on / Baby, be my love song.”
A thin, wobbling guitar fill is all that stands out from Carson Chamberlain’s arrangement, but that’s probably intended. Corbin’s voice is the focus during this easy-to-embrace mid-tempo moment.
“As long as it's you / Babe, I'm all in / And when it's over / Just play it again,” he sings.
‘Baby Be My Love Song’ is Corbin’s second single from an upcoming third studio album.
Why Fans Will Love It: 'Baby Be My Love Song' is a straight-forward love song that even the harshest critic will agree is pure country.
Key Lyrics: "Baby, be my love song / Baby, be my all night long / Be the buzz in my Dixie cup / My steady rockin' 'til the sun comes up"
