Eight-Year-Old Raises $5,500 at a Kool-Aid Stand to Help Pay for Grandmother’s Funeral
Eight-year-old Micheal Diamond of Garfield Heights, Ohio recently lost his grandmother. He overheard his parents talking about not being able to afford a proper burial and decided to do something about it.
Last Thursday, Michael set up a stand selling Kool-Aid by the cup to raise money for his grandmother's funeral. He only sold $55 on the first day.
However, a local television station caught wind of the situation and did a story on Michael.
By the next day, people in the area made a special trip to come buy Kool-Aid from the young man. Some people paid up to $100 a cup!
By Monday, he had raised over $5,500, which is enough to give his grandmother a decent service.
