Household Chemical Day in Lafayette is set for October 24th at the UL Cajun Field Parking Lot from 8am to Noon.
This household chemical day is for Lafayette City and Unincorporated Lafayette Parish Residents ONLY*
They will be accepting:
- paint and paint products
- turpentine
- paint thinner and stripper
- stains
- gasoline
- chemical cleaners
- photographic chemicals
- pesticides
- herbicides
- pool chemicals
- mercury thermometers
- *ensure that all liquid items are secure as leaky containers will not be accepted*
Do your part to keep Lafayette safe & clean. Improper disposal of household chemicals can pose a threat to health, contaminate land, air and water supplies and cause injury to staff collecting our garbage.
