Poor dad. We live in a society that reveres moms (and rightfully so) and dads kind of get the short end of the stick sometimes.

And this Father's Day will be no different.

A new survey found that fewer people buy Father's Day gifts than Mother's Day gifts. And when they do buy their old man a present, they spend less than on Mom's goodies.

73% of people plan on buying a Father's Day gift this year versus 83% who bought something for Mother's Day.

And here's the whopper -- the average person spends $57 on Father's Day versus $85 on Mother's Day!

In case you have no clue what to get dad, the survey also found out what dads want most. Those things include time with their family (wait, you can't buy that), gift cards, clothes, big electronics and gadgets.

Father's Day is June 21 so get to improving these stats!
