Flying With a Country Legend, and Taking His First Selfie
When Sulphur resident Layne Hardin hopped on an airplane today, I am pretty sure he didn't expect to have a seat next to a country legend.
Charley Pride was Hardin's flying buddy as they flew into Lake Charles today. Pride is getting ready to perform at Delta Downs Casino and Racetrack tomorrow in their event center. Pride and Hardin struck up a conversation, and the Grand Ole Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame, 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award winner began to show Hardin pictures of his life on his new iPhone. The pictures were of Pride with friends such as John Wayne, Elvis, and even President Obama.
Before departing the plane, Hardin introduced Pride to his very first selfie (sorta needs a bit of work, but good for a first timer), and now has an amazing story to tell.
Charley Pride plays tomorrow at Delta Downs Casino and Racetrack. Doors open at 7pm and there are a few tickets still available for purchase either online or at the door.
