Former Destrehan Teachers Now Formally Charged In Student Sex Scandal

The saga of two former Destrehan High School teachers continues as both women have now just been formally charged in Jefferson Parish.

NOLA.com reports that Shelley Dufresne, 33, has now been charged with two counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Rachel Respess, 25, has now been charged with failing to report the commission of a felony.

So, if you're like me, you might be asking, what's different here? Originally, both were  charged with one count of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

The investigation must have turned up some new information, as the charges have basically doubled for Dufresne, and have lessened for Respess.
