One of the hottest newcomers in country music will be playing a show down the road this summer. Gabby Barrett will be live in concert at Golden Nugget in Lake Charles on Friday, July 2, 2021.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 16, 2021 at 10:00 am via the casino's website. (Ticket prices are not posted at this time.)

Barrett first got notoriety on the sixteenth season of American Idol back in 2018. She finished third.

She independently released her song "I Hope" in 2019 and performed it on the following season of American Idol. The song attracted the attention of music labels, and she ultimately signed with Warner Music Nashville.

The song was released as an official single by the label on Jun 27, 2019, and the following April it would top Billboard's Airplay chart.

Her current single, "The Good Ones", just hit the top of the same chart this week. Both songs are off her debut album, Goldmine. The album, by the way, earned 15.98 million on-demand streams in its opening week, breaking the record for the largest streaming week ever for a debut country album by a woman.

The awards are starting to roll in too for this hot newcomer. Just last week Gabby was named the ACM New Female Artist of the Year.

Barrett married fellow Idol contestant Cade Foehner in late 2019. Earlier this year, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, Baylah May.
