While a lot of us weren't paying attention, the calendar quietly flipped another page, and it's May. That means Louisiana moms will get their special day this Sunday. And it won't be too much longer until graduates from high schools in Lafayette, St Martinville, Kaplan, and Crowley will don caps and gowns and parade in front of proud parents as those students receive their diplomas.

The bottom line is this: understand the rip currents, bring your sunscreen, and just because you aren't in your own hometown doesn't mean you should be acting the donkey. Remember, the folks in Gulf Shores and Pensacola have already dealt with spring break this year, and they will have very little patience for your tomfoolery either.
