Cajuns' homecoming is November 2, 2019 at Cajun Field, and you're going to need to prepare yourself for the experience. In case you haven't been to a game (or any other major sporting event) in a while, there have been new regulations enacted regarding what can and can't be brought into the stadium for safety purposes. With that in mind, here are some handy items to have that are stadium-approved and can make your game-day experience even better.

  • Clear Bag

One of the major changes to stadium entry has been the bag policy. No longer will you be allowed to bring your normal bag, purse or other items that could potentially conceal items not allowed in the stadium, hence, the clear bag policy. There are specific dimensions that your bag must not exceed and having the right bag will help save you from a needless journey back to your vehicle. This bag is stadium approved and will allow you to enter Cajun Field without any problems.

  • Fleece Blanket

You are allowed to carry blankets (which will be checked at the gate) into Cajun Field, and you'll definitely be representing the home team with this one. If it's cold, you'll appreciate the blanket for keeping you warm. If it's not cold, it still makes a comfy place to have a seat or spread on the grass on the end-zone hill.

  • Seat Cushion

Even if you're sitting in bleachers with seat-backs, this cushion will help take the pressure off your backside. Seat cushions are also allowed into Cajun Field so make sure your packing list includes one of these. Side note, if you happen to be sitting in general admission sections with only concrete benches, this can be a back saver.

  • Rain Poncho

Let's face it. It's South Louisiana, where the weather can sometimes be 'temperamental'. Always be prepared and represent Cajun colors with these very portable and disposable rain ponchos. It's always better to have them and not need them, instead of the other way around.

  • Silicone Shoe Covers

And while we're talking about rain, let's not forget about your feet. If you don't happen to be a member of the RCAF and have to make the trek across Congress St. back to your car, it's good to have these silicone shoe covers handy to protect your shoes from water and mud. Once again, you may not need them, but it's always better to have em just in case. Plus, your shoes will match the rest of your outfit.

  • Head Lamp

Along the same lines as the above item, if you happen to have to take the long walk back to your car, crossing Congress St. and making your way through the field to your car, this headlamp could come in handy, not only to see where you're walking but also so others can see you.
