One of the premier events on the Gulf Coast heading into summer every year is the popular Hangout Music Festival. The Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area is always a go-to destination for Acadiana folks, and Hangout Music Fest has featured many of our local musicians on the bill for years. I personally try to make a trip for the three day festival of fun in the sun every year! The lineup always features Grammy award winners and regional artists who come together from several different formats for the fun. Great music, great food, and great views, right on the beach.

Hangout Music Festival was cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, and it appears that the event that was scheduled for May 21-23 is a no go for this spring as well. Earlier this week organizers issued a statement on social media about the fate of the festival in the midst of the ongoing pandemic. Although they are canceling the event in May, they are hopeful that they might be able to move activities to the fall. You can read the statement from their official Twitter page below, and be sure to check their website for updates on a possible re-schedule.

Officials are also saying that if fans have purchased tickets already, they can expect an email in the upcoming weeks with information about exchanges or refunds.

I Can't Wait To Go To These Festivals Again
