With many businesses being closed in order to mitigate the spread of the virus. Many Louisiana citizens find themselves in very unfamiliar territory.
That unfamiliar territory is applying for unemployment benefits. As if that process wasn't difficult enough, the fact that tens of thousands of Louisiana citizens are attempting to do the same thing has made getting online the LAWorks website even more of a challenge.
In order to smooth out the process, the department has released a series of videos that strive to answer the most common questions people have when applying for their benefits. We've posted one of those here for you but there are others at the LAWorks site.
Here's a tip that we've learned and would like to pass on to you.
