Even if you've experienced the horror and sadness of having your home damaged or destroyed in a hurricane many times, which some people in Louisiana have, there are still new things you need to learn and certain people you want to speak with. That's why HBCU Adventures has planned another Hurricane Expo for this Saturday in Lake Charles.

While many residents have at least stabilized their homes and lives, for the time being, there is still a need by many to hire contractors and to consult with legal professionals on particular aspects of the recovery process. If that's you, then this is the Expo you've been waiting for.

The event will be held on Saturday, November 7th from 11 am until 3 pm at the Christian Baptist Church in Lake Charles. That facility is located at 4460 5th Avenue in the city. The event is free and there is no registration required.

Representatives from FEMA and the Louisiana Department of Insurance will be on hand to answer questions in those areas of your recovery. There will also be roofers, contractors, HVAC specialists, mold mitigation specialists, and others in attendance that you could arrange to hire on the spot.

What makes this Hurricane Recovery Expo so special is that each of those vendors has been fully vetted. That means their job records are clean, they are licensed and insured, and they have local offices. This should help you feel better about hiring someone knowing that you're not going to get scammed.

Please share this information with anyone who may have been affected by Hurricanes Laura or Delta this year. It's good information from people who can actually help you in your recovery.
