Charley Crockett Scrapped Opening Act From His Tour for ‘Satanic Imagery,’ Band Says
An L.A.-based rock duo called Twin Temple say that Charley Crockett has removed them from his bill on two scheduled dates of his Age of the Ram Tour.
They claim the decision is "due to our Satanic imagery."
Twin Temple were originally booked to open up Crockett's show in Troutdale, Ore., on July 14 and Paso Robles, Calif., on July 18. Crockett hasn't offered any official statement about whether he's removing them for the shows, or who else might be opening those dates instead.

Twin Temple have announced they're not appearing on those tour dates, and they say the decision came from Crockett's camp.
The duo expressed their disappointment over the cancellation in their statement.
"We were looking forward to getting back out and seeing you, and also what it meant as far as bringing different types of people and music lovers together," they wrote. "We are sorry to everyone who was planning to see us. We're grateful for your support, not only of Twin Temple, but more importantly of artistic freedom."
"HAIL SATAN!" they added as they conclude their post.

And Jelly Roll has faced several allegations that he's affiliated with Satanism over the course of his career. In 2024, he admitted that he regretted getting dragged into arguments with X trolls over the topic.
But Charley Crockett's never been your typical country star: He's never been shy about speaking up for artistic freedom, even if that makes him less popular in the country mainstream.
And, as some fans have pointed out, Twin Temple's Satanic imagery is a fairly prominent feature of their performance. It seems unlikely that Crockett added them to his tour lineup without knowing that component of their music.
