A video posted on the Facebook page of the Baton Rouge Police Department is receiving a lot of praise after officers were seen assisting a person who is wheelchair-bound.

According to the social media post, the person in the wheelchair was on College Dr. in Baton Rouge during noon traffic. When police saw the person in the roadway, they immediately assisted the person in the wheelchair so that they would not get hit by a vehicle.

As you'll see below, one officer is seen pushing the person in the wheelchair to safety, while another officer escorts them through the heavy traffic.

When you talk about serving your community, it does not get any better than this and these officers deserve every bit of praise for doing what they did here.

The person who captured this moment in Baton Rouge, Louisiana had this to say, "I was instilled with a renewed sense of appreciation for law enforcement and trust in their desire to create harmony and unity."

As for why the person decided to record this, well here's what they had to say about documenting it, "I couldn’t let this opportunity to escape me to at least share the story with you in hopes of public recognition for the officers involved."

Here's the video of officers assisting this person in Baton Rouge. We think that this is worth sharing with you and others as these officers deserve all the praise they are getting.
