Police in Louisiana Arrest Suspect After He Jumps in Lake to Escape Custody
This is something you don't see every day.
A suspect who was running from police elected to jump into a lake as he fled a vehicle that he allegedly stole.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office assisted State Police in pursuit after a man, who was pulled over by police, ran away from the vehicle that he allegedly stole.
In the process of fleeing police, the suspect jumped into the lake you see here and police were able to surround him.
You see the man swimming here, but he could only swim for so long and he was ultimately apprehended by authorities.
The wild chase happened on Wednesday near Oak Habor in Slidell.
As you may already know, we love the social media team for the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, and here's their description of the chase and arrest.
