In a shocking traffic incident in Scott, a commercial truck veered off the road, plowed through a mobile home, and finally came to a halt inside the bedroom of a second residence. The Scott Fire Department, responding swiftly to the emergency call on Wednesday evening, found the driver trapped in the wreckage in the 1200 block of S Fieldspan Road.

The accident, which occurred at approximately 5:28 PM, required firefighters to forcefully enter the vehicle to rescue the trapped driver. According to Scott Fire Chief Chad Sonnier, the precision and quick action of the firefighters ensured the driver was safely extricated from the vehicle.

Luckily, the mobile home was unoccupied at the time of the crash, averting what could have been a more disastrous event. However, things took a turn for when it was discovered that a resident was in the bedroom of the second home at the moment of impact. In what can only be described as a miraculous escape, the resident managed to get out unscathed.

The driver, who sustained minor injuries, was transported to a local hospital. Their current condition remains stable. The Louisiana State Police have taken over the investigation to determine the cause of this unusual crash.

The incident, while shocking, thankfully resulted in no fatalities or serious injuries. The Scott Fire Department reported that none of its personnel were injured during the response.
