Once warmer weather returns to Louisiana we immediately find ways to cool down on a hot day. One of the easiest ways to put a smile on any Louisianans face is treating them to ice cream. As a kid, well who am I kidding even as an adult, I still find myself craving a Wendy's frosty during the warmer months.

Personally, I am always down for a traditional vanilla frosty, but Wendy's just launched a new flavor just in time for spring that has me thinking of dipping my fries in something even sweeter.

"We continue to see so much passion from our customers to try new, seasonal Frosty flavors. With Orange Dreamsicle Frosty, we're building even more Frosty fandom with our first ever spring-inspired Frosty flavor," said Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. Chief Marketing Officer for The Wendy's Company. "Orange Dreamsicle Frosty delivers sweet nostalgia in every bite."

Our first thought was that this new frosty flavor reminded us of those Blue Bell Orange Popsicles that had the ice cream in the middle. Imagine that but in a smooth frosty consistency. That or something similar to those Flint Stones push pops you can find at the gas station in the cooler. Either way this Orange Dreamsicle Frosty is hitting us with waves of childhood nostalgia.

If you are dying to taste the nostalgia too, the newest Frosty flavor officially hit menus across the country including Louisiana on Tuesday. We have a feeling that it tastes just as good as it looks.

While Wendy's is known for having classic flavors like vanilla and chocolate, in recent years they have started introducing seasonal flavors to get fans excited about Frosty's year round. In the pas they have had flavors like Wendy's Strawberry, Pumpkin Spice and Peppermint Frosty. Since they have seen continued success with having a limited edition flavor for each season, they have decided to keep experimenting with flavors that they know their fans will love.
