UPDATE: Louisiana Man Found Safe; Silver Alert Canceled

Officials with Louisiana State Police have issued a Silver Alert on behalf of a family trying to locate their missing male family member.

According to Sergeant Scott Moreau, a spokesperson for Louisiana State Police's Public Affairs Section, they are looking to find 87-year-old John Kilbourne, who was last seen on Saturday, January 8.

What Is Know About Kilbourne's Last Location?

Officials say that at around 11:50, Saturday evening was the last time anyone had their eyes on Kilbourne. He was at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital which is located at 3330 Masonic Drive in Alexandria. Later in the evening, he was discovered missing from the facility, and that's when the family contacted the State Police to issue a Silver Alert.

According to Louisiana State Police, they describe him as a black male who is five feet, eleven inches tall and the man is said to weigh around 190 pounds. Kilbourne has brown eyes along with gray hair.

Officials say the man does suffer from a medical condition that impairs his judgment. The last time Kilbourne was seen, he was wearing a yellow and black cap with the words "Military Vet" on it. He was also wearing a gray pair of pants along with a brown shirt. His shoes are black.

Does Anyone Know Where Kilbourne Might Have Gone?

Where the man went is not known, but Moreau says they believe the man walked away from the facility. They do not know the direction Kilbourne was headed in when he left.
