The capsizing of the Seacor Power in the Gulf of Mexico is clearly weighing heavy on hearts across Acadiana no matter what age.

Young KLFY viewer Carter Thibeaux sent in a picture of the Seacor Power disaster titled “Louisiana Strong” showing just how deeply the disaster has affected everyone in Acadiana, and around the world.

Volunteers searching for the seven remaining missing Seacor crew members found eight life jackets and three hard hats yesterday (04/25/21). It is believed that these are items that could have been worn by the men on the power lift boat.
Of the 19 men on board the Seacor Power at the time it capsized, as of today (04/26/21), seven men are still unaccounted for, six have been rescued, and six bodies have been recovered.
