Lafayette Councilman Announces Cancer Diagnosis
Sunday Lafayette City-Parish Council member Kenneth Boudreaux made this announcement via social media.
Followers of Boudreaux on Facebook had noted the councilman asked for prayers during a post he made last week. Sunday, he explained the reasons behind that request.
The cancer diagnosis was bittersweet for Boudreaux who noted that on the day he learned of his diagnosis his family was blessed with the birth of his first grandchild. Boudreaux is 50 years old and serve's Lafayette's District 4 on the City-Parish Council.
On his Facebook page, Boudreaux said,
Any business that you may need me for outside of personal I respectively ask that you contact the professional office directly for now to get the fastest and most efficient response.
Boudreaux has not indicated how the illness, treatment, and recovery from his cancer diagnosis will affect his ability to serve on the council. We certainly wish him a speedy and complete recovery.
