UPDATE (September 13, 2021): Crystal Fontenot is the fourth announced arrest involving the homicide of Johnathan Dixon at King City Grocery Store in the 200 block of West Jeff Davis Avenue in Rayne on July 17th.

Rayne Police report that Acadia Parish Sheriff's deputies arrested Fontenot on Tuesday, September 7th while she was at the Acadia Parish District Court for an unrelated matter. She had been indicted by an Acadia Parish Grand Jury for her alleged involvement in Dixon's homicide.

UPDATE (August 12, 2021): 18-year-old Daylan Richard is the third man arrested in for his alleged role in the fatal shooting Jonathan Dixon on July 17th at King City Grocery Store. He has been booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on a charge of Second Degree Murder.

According to a press release from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, who worked in collaboration with Rayne Police, Richard was arrested at an Airbnb residence in the 300 block of St. Thomas Street in Lafayette on Thursday. Law enforcement arrived at the home around 9:30 a.m. and it took over two hours for Richard to surrender.

26-year-old Kaylor Sinegal of Lafayette and 26-year-old Edward Dontreal Nickson of Rayne have already been arrested in the case.

UPDATE (July 21, 2021): 26-year-old Edward Dontreal Nickson of Rayne has been arrested and booked into the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office Jail for his alleged role in the fatal shooting of Jonathan Dixon over the weekend at King City Grocery Store. Rayne Police say "more arrests are imminent" as the investigation continues.

Original Story (July 19, 2021): 22-year-old Jonathan Dixon of Rayne was found dead over the weekend at King City Grocery Store in the 200 block of West Jeff Davis Avenue and Rayne Police need your help trying to figure out who shot him.

According to the Rayne Police Department's Facebook page, officers responded to multiple shots just before midnight to find Dixon dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Multiple arrests are expected as police investigate this homicide case.
