Lafayette Police responded to a shooting on Ginger Street Saturday night around 9:00 pm. (Ginger Street is located right off of the Throughway in north Lafayette behind Super 8 by Wyndham.)

Corporal Bridget Dugas says police found a man with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

According to Dugas, there is no suspect at this time.

KLFY reports they found a car that had bullet holes in the front windshield, radiator, and a flat tire on the front driver's side.

The driver of the car told KLFY that a gunman fired multiple rounds and that a man in his 20s was hit in the leg.

The witness also said that she was in the car at the time of the shooting along with her daughter and grandchild, who is under a year old.

Other than her glasses being cracked by the glass that burst from her windshield, the woman and her family seemed unhurt.
