Lafayette Officers Investigate Shooting On Magnolia Street

Lafayette Police were called out to the 400 block of South Magnolia Street around 9:30 last night.

Officers found out when they got to the scene that a shooting victim had been taken from the address by unknown persons to a local hospital.

Investigators believe that the victim was involved in a verbal altercation prior to the shooting.

The victim was shot in the upper torso, and police say he is listed in critical condition.

Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department are encouraging anyone with information about the shooting or the identity of the suspects to contact Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
