Lafayette School Bus Route Information Available Now

Can you believe it? The Summer is almost gone and in less than a month most Acadiana area school systems will be back in session. Now is the time for parents to begin thinking ahead about what it's going to take to get their child to and from school each day.

The Lafayette Parish School system has posted the 2018-2019 school bus routes.  At last check that link for school bus routes was undergoing intermittent upgrades. So it might not be available at all times. In the coming days, it should be totally functional.  However, the easiest way for parents and students to review their particular route is by using the Parent Portal online.

School officials say there have not been a lot of changes in the routes since the last school year but there are some changes. Also, parents of students who will be changing schools, perhaps going from a middle school to a high school, will want to know the route that the buses that serve their children will be taking.

Transportation officials with Lafayette Parish Public Schools say their transportation communication call center will be open in two weeks.  The call center will remain open for the first two weeks of the school year to help parents and students solve any transportation issues that might arise during the first two weeks of school.
