Looking for something to do indoors with the kids this summer? Then why don't you take them to the Lafayette Science Museum on Jefferson Street in downtown Lafayette and check out the latest cool exhibition, Fossil Giants - Dinosaurs & Mammals.

This fascinating new exhibit is the result of an ongoing partnership between the museum and UL's School of Geosciences. This and other great exhibits fill the museum's first two floors.

Then mark your calendars for Sunday, July 13th at 11am when a special screening of the animated preschool television program Space Racers will be previewed.

Space Racers follows young spaceship cadets as they soar through the solar system, learning about science, space, and teamwork. The show's co-creator and executive director will even be on hand to offer a behind-the-scenes look into how each animated character comes to life and explain how NASA scientists and astronauts assisted in the development of the series.

The Lafayette Science Museum's planetarium is also offering an expanded list of programming this summer.

For more details about the museum's summer programs and more, visit www.lafayettesciencemuseum.org or call (337) 291-5544. The museum is located at 433 Jefferson Street in the heart of downtown Lafayette.
