Good news lately for consumers as we have steadily watched gas prices dip. In Lafayette, we have our first store with gas under $2 a gallon.
The Corner Market on the corner of Ambassador Caffery and Bonin Road now has regular unleaded gasoline for $1.99 (cash only).
Store manager Candy Pierre said the price dropped around 11:30am on Christmas Eve and the lines have been steady ever since.
The next cheapest gas station in Lafayette is a Texaco on the corner of University and Pont des Mouton with a price of $2.05 per gallon.
