Lafayette Shooting Kills One and Injures Two on Saturday Night
Lafayette Police are continuing their investigation into a fatal shooting that took place on Saturday night. The shooting, according to information released during the preliminary investigation was reported to be the result of an argument between several men who had gathered in the 500 block of South Pierce Street.
Based on information reported by KLFY television during the course of the argument one of the men produced a weapon and shot several times into the crowd that was gathered. That gunfire injured two people.
However, gunfire was returned striking the original shooter. The injuries sustained by the original shooter turned out to be fatal. There is no word on the condition of the other two individuals who were wounded at the scene.
