The outstanding Fall weather Lafayette and Acadiana have experienced the past several days is about to change.

While we won't see the temperatures warming up that drastically we will notice more humidity and some unsettled conditions moving into the area by mid-week.

There is a  chance of showers in the forecast for today and the start of the work week will also come with a slight risk of rainfall. The current radar scan indicates where the heaviest rain is falling at this time. Tuesday should be dry but beginning Wednesday the chance of showers will move back into the area.

Unfortunately the long range look ahead for the week does show a significant chance of rain for Halloween. The chance of rain is certainly something that Mom's and Dad's should consider monitoring over the next few days as you make decisions on where and how your kids will handle trick-or-treating.

Ragin Cajun Homecoming festivities are also planned for this week and rain showers could certainly put a damper on some of the activities that have been planned. As of now the forecast for the homecoming game on Saturday will be dry with temperatures in the middle 70's at kick off time.
