LDH: June 5th Louisiana COVID-19 Update
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Friday, June 5th.
There are now 41,552 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That is 437 more reported cases since yesterday.
Numbers show that there are 604 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 9 fewer than yesterday.
75 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 7 fewer patients since yesterday
The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 2,801, an increase of 29 since yesterday.
As of today, 31,728 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 3,028 more recovered patients since last week.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 2,805 with 209 deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 854 cases, 29 deaths

Iberia Parish: 422 cases, 39 deaths
(3 new cases reported since yesterday and 1 new death since yesterday.)
St. Martin Parish: 281 cases, 24 deaths
(30 fewer cases reported since yesterday, 1 new death)
St. Mary Parish: 333 cases, 32 deaths
(2 new cases reported since yesterday, 0 new deaths reported since yesterday.)
St. Landry Parish: 308 cases, 54 deaths
(36 new cases reported since yesterday, 0 new deaths reported since yesterday)
Acadia Parish: 467 cases, 26 deaths

Evangeline Parish: 81 cases, 1 death
