Louisiana COVID-19 Daily Update For March 23, 2020

The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Monday, March 23rd.

There are now 1,172 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. 1,634 tests have been completed by state labs and 4,314 tests have been reported by commercial labs.

The total amount of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 19.

Lafayette Parish: 9
St. Landry Parish: 3
Iberia Parish: 3
Evangeline Parish: 2
Acadia Parish: 1
St. Mary Parish: 1

There is more widespread representation throughout the state as 41 of the 64 parishes now have at least one confirmed case of COVID-19. The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 34. New Orleans continues to be the hardest-hit area of the state. The next update is due out tomorrow at noon.
