Louisiana Country Singer Wows ‘American Idol’ Judges With Conway & Boudin
Sometimes you have to really stand out to make a great first impression. And other times, you simply should bribe to get your way.
I'm not saying the latter happened last night on American Idol, but it may have helped one Louisiana country singer to make it to Hollywood.
18-year-old John Foster of Addis, Louisiana (just southwest of Baton Rouge) figured he'd try to make a favorable first impression with the judges, or maybe he was just showing some good ole Southern hospitality.
That baw showed up with coolers for each of the judges filled with Cajun food, including, but not limited to, boudin.
And the judges were very appreciative and seemed pretty excited to get such a treat. Luke Bryan even commented while getting his cooler handed to him from host Ryan Seacrest, "You got some boudin in there?"
The gifts will only get you so far. How was Foster's performance?
Well, it might have not been Hollywood-approved had it not been for Carrie Underwood suggesting a second song to showcase the young singer's voice a little better.
Judge for yourself and check out John Foster's full audition on last night's show:
Anytime you can rip through some Conway Twitty and it's approved by two of the biggest stars in country music, you'll have a pretty good chance to do some things.
