Louisiana is Home to the Most Neat Freaks According to New Survey
In Louisiana, we take our food, family, and fun very seriously. According to a new survey, cleanliness is no joke either.
Louisiana is Home to the Most Neat Freaks
The term "neat freak" really shouldn't every be taken as a negative term.
Sure, there comes a point where keeping things unreasonably clean can border on unhealthy and neurotic, but we've always heard that "Cleanliness is Godliness" right?
If that is indeed the case, then it looks like Louisiana is sitting pretty.
A new survey conducted by mrrooter.com set out to determine which states have the best and worst cleaning habits.
Mrrooter.com surveyed Americans coast to coast on their cleaning habits to find out just how clean they keep each room in their house, and how frequently they find themselves cleaning.
From mrrooter.com -
"Specifically, we got insight into how clean different rooms in their house currently are, how tidy they keep their outdoor spaces and cars, and how many minutes they spend cleaning every week.
From there, we assigned values to each answer choice and created an index from cleanest to messiest based on the average survey response from every state."
According to the survey, Marylanders report keeping both their living rooms and cars cleaner than any other state.
Folks in Maryland clean for an average of 2 hours, 17 minutes.
Next on the list is Georgia where they report keeping their bathrooms and bedrooms in immaculate shape, cleaning for an average for three hours weekly.
Next up is Louisiana!
According to mrrooter.com -
"Louisianans keep their kitchens and living rooms in tip-top shape, and they're leading the pack when it comes to outdoor spaces.
They clock in at just under 145 minutes of cleaning time per week (2 hours, 25 minutes), making them one of America's shining stars of tidiness."
Yep, Louisiana earns the title of "Home to the Most Neat Freaks" by keeping our living rooms and kitchens in impeccable states of cleanliness combined with leading the pack when it comes to our outdoor spaces.
And, it makes sense.
We spend the majority of our time cooking and visiting with friends and family in our living rooms and outdoor spaces.
Louisiana has been dubbed "America's Shining Star of Tidiness".
