Louisiana Kidnapping Suspect Now Linked to Two Missing Women

St. Francisville, La. - A kidnapping investigation in West Feliciana Parish has taken an even more troubling turn after investigators announced the suspect is now considered a person of interest in the disappearances of two Louisiana women.

Louisiana authorities say the latest development comes just hours after deputies rescued a woman who was allegedly being held against her will, leading to the arrest of a 43-year-old man in St. Francisville.

Kidnapping Investigation Leads To Arrest

According to the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies responded Sunday evening after receiving reports that a woman from another state was allegedly being held against her will.

Investigators say the woman was safely located, and Thomas Morris, 43, was arrested. He has been booked on charges of second-degree kidnapping and false imprisonment.

Suspect Now Linked To Two Missing Women Cases

According to WBRZ, following Morris' arrest, Sheriff Brian Spillman announced that he is now considered a person of interest in the disappearances of Stephanie Hevia and Madison Allen. Investigators have not announced any additional charges related to either missing persons case, and the investigations remain active.

Madison Allen, a Zachary mother of three, disappeared in late 2023. Her family has spent years searching for answers by distributing flyers, posting on social media, and offering rewards in hopes of finding her.

Stephanie Hevia has been missing since August 2025. According to family members, she was last seen with Morris in St. Francisville before she vanished.

Families Hope This Could Bring Long-Awaited Answers

Allen's mother told WBRZ that learning Morris had been named a person of interest brought a wave of emotions after years of uncertainty.

She said the announcement gave her hope that investigators may finally be moving closer to learning what happened to her daughter. While she stopped short of calling it closure, she described the development as a significant step in the investigation.

Law enforcement officials stress that being identified as a person of interest does not mean someone has been charged in connection with a crime. Detectives continue gathering evidence as they investigate both disappearances.
