Louisiana Legend Jerry Lee Lewis Recovering After Stroke
Louisiana's own Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame member Jerry Lee Lewis is recuperating after a stroke he suffered on Friday. 'The Killer', 83, is currently at a hospital in Memphis, and according to WREG TV, is expected to make a full recovery.
Jerry Lee Lewis, along with his first cousins Mickey Gilley and Reverend Jimmy Swaggart, are all from Ferriday, and each has made a name for themselves in their chosen professions. Lewis is currently working on a gospel album, and he's scheduled to play at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 28.
