LOUISIANA - For a lot of us who grew up in Acadiana, there was always one day on the school calendar that felt a little more exciting than the rest: field trip day!

It really didn't matter where the bus was headed. A museum, a state park, a historic landmark, or somewhere you'd never even heard of before...loading onto a school bus with your classmates meant you were about to make memories that would stick with you for years.
