A man was arrested over the weekend after a video made the social media rounds showing him kicking and yelling at a restrained shoplifter fleeing Macy's at the Mall of Louisiana.

The alleged incident happened on Thursday, Feb. 14 when 49-year-old Latonya Hamilton was caught on surveillance entering a dressing room with a handful of items and a large bag. She later exited the dressing room and walked out of the store without paying.

Hamilton was eventually taken to the ground by an employee outside the store. However, she broke free from the employee after she allegedly scratched her in the face and attempted to bite her.

A mall security guard came to assist and was eventually able to detain Hamilton.
