Man Finds Dead Bat In Cereal

Most good boxes of cereal come with a prize in it. One German man's cereal came with a dead bat in it!

The Stuttgart, Germany man was sitting down for the most important meal of the day when he poured out his cereal and noticed something funny. At first he thought it was some kind of Halloween-themed prize but quickly realized that a mummified mammal should not be part of his breakfast of champions.

Food safety official Jorg Sturmer is trying to determine how the bat flew into the box of Mini-Zimties cereal and in its bag before being sealed, thus suffocating the bat. He called it a "really unusual case."
