Man Who Set Churches on Fire on St. Landry Parish Changes Plea to Guilty

Holden Matthews, the man accused of setting three churches on fire has changed his plea in court.

KATC-TV 3 is reporting that Matthews has pleaded guilty in federal court to burning the churches.

If you recall, Matthews originally pleaded not guilty to burning down the three historically black churches in St. Landry Parish.

Our media partners at KATC report that plea negotiations have been ongoing in this case and that a hearing was set for today (2/10/2020).
