The Louisiana Department of Health issued its 9:30 a.m. update for Friday, March 20th. There are now 479 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana and 1047 tests have been performed.

A seventh case was also announced in Lafayette Parish with the latest update. The one case reported in Acadia Parish didn't appear on the map in this update. This brings the grand total of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region to 10.

Lafayette Parish: 7
St. Landry Parish: 2
Iberia Parish: 1

There is more widespread representation throughout the state as 25 of the 64 parishes now have at least one confirmed case of COVID-19. The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 10. New Orleans continues to be the hardest-hit area of the state. The next update is due out this afternoon at 5:30 p.m.
