A relationship counselor is informing the masses of the concept of passive responsibility vs. active responsibility. Yes, it finally has a term.

Passive responsibility within the relationship is waiting to be told to help or to do something within the home or dealing with the children. Active responsibility is seeking out things to do around the home without needing to be told.

As a single woman, I don't have much experience with this. However, I am self-aware enough to admit that I have been on both sides of this. Cleaning my house, doing chores when growing up with my parents, and even job responsibilities.

I think the one thing that makes women angry the most is passive aggressiveness. Carrying that over into actual chores and responsibilities? Oof. This also isn't just towards women, in my opinion. Women can also be guilty of doing this. Bad behaviors don't discriminate.
