The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Monday, May 11th.

There are now 31,815 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That number is up 215 since yesterday.

Numbers show that there are 1,310 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 14 less than yesterday.

157 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 4 less than yesterday.

The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 2,242 an increase of 29 since yesterday.

As of today, 22,608 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 2,292 more recovered patients since last week.

 

The total number of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 1,778 (up 19 cases since yesterday) with 159 deaths reported (no new deaths reported).

Lafayette Parish: 508 cases, 22 deaths

(Up 7 cases with no new deaths reported since yesterday.)

Iberia Parish: 286 cases, 26 deaths

(1 new case with no new deaths reported since yesterday.)

St. Martin Parish: 260 cases, 21 deaths

(3 new cases and no new deaths since yesterday.)

St. Mary Parish: 250 cases, 26 deaths

(5 new cases, no new deaths reported since yesterday.)

St. Landry Parish: 214 cases, 50 deaths

(Down 1 case with no new deaths reported since yesterday)

Acadia Parish: 152 cases, 11 deaths

(4 news cases reported, no new deaths since yesterday.)

Evangeline Parish: 67 cases, 1 death

(No change since yesterday.)

Vermilion Parish: 41 cases, 2 deaths

(No new cases, no new deaths since yesterday.)
