Miranda Lambert turned to social media early on Friday (June 28) to share a sexy new picture of herself happily posing with her husband, New York City police officer Brendan McLoughlin.

Lambert and McLoughlin are both dressed down in the photo above, which Lambert posted to Instagram. They are looking into the camera and smiling, and the country superstar accompanied the photo with the caption, "NYPDA," as a sly reference to her husband's job with the police.

Lambert shocked fans and her country music colleagues when she announced that she had married McLoughlin in February of 2019. The couple actually got married in January of 2019, but she held off announcing it until February. They made their public debut on the red carpet at the 2019 ACM Awards in April.

Lambert and McLoughlin are already the subject of tabloid speculation. A representative for the singer publicly denied reports that the couple had split in May.

A Timeline of Miranda Lambert's Most Public Relationships:

Lambert debuted a new song titled "Locomotive" during the 2019 CMA Music Festival in Nashville in early June. The song returns her to the spitfire energy of earlier songs including "Kerosene," but with a more mature lyrical perspective.

It's the first song fans have heard from an upcoming album that Lambert says she will release in the fall. She changed her approach for the project, working for the first time with producer Jay Joyce on a collection of songs that she says were inspired by the changes in her life.

"It was a change, but I wanted to go in a different direction for this one than I have in the past because I feel like I was in a new place," Lambert tells Rolling Stone Country. "Jay and I had some new chemistry. Sometimes you have to change it up."
