Good ole Monroe, Louisiana delivers again.

On Thursday, March 23, 2023, officers with the Monroe Police Department were called to the scene of an alleged assault that took place at the intersection of Hart Street and Harrison Street. Upon arrival, they would quickly arrest Stanley Thomas after locating the victim, who lost a large amount of blood.

According to reports, witnesses told cops that the victim and Thomas got into a verbal altercation over $5. (Yes, a whopping Abe Lincoln!)

Witnesses detailed that the victim allegedly swung their jacket at Thomas and that the victim also possessed a knife.

Witnesses at the scene also said that Thomas cut the victim during the altercation.

It's been reported that Thomas allegedly advised authorities that he did indeed cut the victim, but it was due to self-defense.

Thomas was arrested on charges of Aggravated Battery.
