More Bizarre Louisiana Laws

Even in a state that some people consider 'unusual' (not us, we love it here!) these strange laws are pretty out there. We did a story earlier this year about crazy Louisiana laws, but we found some more! I know, I know, unbelievable, but true. Thanks to Morris Bart Attorneys at Law for the laughs this afternoon

• In New Orleans It illegal for a woman to drive a car unless her husband is waving a flag in front of it.
• Snoring is illegal unless all bedroom windows are closed and locked
• Throwing items at a Mardi Gras float is prohibited, and throwing condoms from the float is illegal as well. (Who knew?!)
• It is illegal to gargle in a public place anywhere in Louisiana
• Mourners at a wake cannot eat more than three sandwiches
• It's a $50 fine if City Commissioners drink alcohol during a public meeting
• In Carencro cowbells are illegal
• In Abbeville roller skates on a sidewalk are prohibited
• In Rayne it is illegal for kids over 14 to trick or treat at Halloween
• Taxi drivers beware! It is not lawful for you to make love in the front seat of your vehicle while you are on shift
• In New Orleans it is illegal to fall down drunk on a sidewalk and block it from use by others
• Unless you get a special license in advance, it is illegal to wear a goatee in the great state of Louisiana
