Motel Cleaning Crew Finds Live Alligator in Room Guest Left Behind
Hotel and motel cleaning crews find a lot of strange things in rooms that guests leave behind.
Clothes, trash, cell phones and phone chargers, and sometimes money are pretty typical finds for a cleaning crew after a guest checks out.
One cleaning crew found something they could have never expected in a room after a guest checked out.
In fact, what they found doesn't even belong anywhere in their State.
What they found was a live alligator under the bed.
Here's how it got there...
Live Alligator Found In Motel Room
In Louisiana and Florida, to hear news about someone finding a live alligator under a bed in a motel would be interesting, but not all that shocking per say.
However, to find a live alligator under a bed in Michigan, a State that doesn't have any alligators.
This is exactly what happened to the manager of the Pine River Motel in Cheboygan, Michigan and his nephew.

"According to the Detroit Free Press, the manager of the motel and his nephew went to clean a room last Friday after a guest who works as an animal handler who visits schools to educate students with the aid of his menagerie of exotic pets departed on Thursday."
Someone finding an alligator in a motel room in Michigan is like someone finding a kangaroo in a motel room in Louisiana.
OK, so how did even happen?
According to brobible.com, the man who was staying in the room was an animal handler who visits schools in the area to teach them about exotic animals.
Apparently he was traveling with his pet alligator of over 10 years, named Wally.
Once the manager and his nephew found the alligator in the room, they called the police, and called the man who was staying in the room to let him know he had forgotten something.

The motel guest told them "he thought the alligator—named Wally—had managed to escape the room after he was unable to find him prior to checking out and driving to Detroit" according to brobible.com.
Um...OK. How does and alligator escape a motel room?
Anyway, it seems Wally is a pretty friendly alligator and while the police and the manager waited for the owner to return, they took some pics with him.
