My Top 5 Christmas Movies
Merry Christmas! There is nothing I love better than sitting down to wrap presents on a Sunday afternoon and watching my favorite holiday movies. I say 'holiday' not because I'm trying to be PC, but because it just sounds so darn festive. So, grab some popcorn, and sit back and enjoy.
In no particular order, here are my favorite movies to celebrate the season; #falalalala
- 2007's 'The Holiday' - I could watch this movie year round, it says so much to me about just being...happy. I adore this film!
- 1946's 'It's a Wonderful Life' - such a classic, and my family looks forward to watching this together every year. Christmas would not be the same without George Bailey!
- 1990's 'Home Alone' - Kevin McAllister makes me laugh so hard that I spit out my hot cocoa every time I see this. Nothing puts me more in a good mood for the holidays than this film!
- 1983's 'A Christmas Story' - to me, this film IS Christmas. The marathon that is run on television every Christmas Eve is so comforting, and we look forward to seeing it waaaay more than we should. Nostalgia at it's best.
- 1954's 'White Christmas' is probably the most nostalgic for me. It reminds me of so many Christmas' at my grandparents house in Fort Worth, Texas. I wouldn't dream of getting through a holiday season without watching it at least once. And I love the music.
Well, these are my favorites, but I'll give an honorable mention to 2000's 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas'. Moviefone has the 25 Best Christmas Films of All Time, so check to see if any of your faves are in there, and Merry Christmas!
